This year's jury consisted of Peter Van den Begin, Phara De Aguirre, Lieve Blancquaert, Hans Bourlon, Els Dottermans, Jan Mulder, Piet Goddaer and Christophe van Rompaey. They selected the nominees from 13 films. Beyond the Steppes received 4 nominations; Best Director (Vanja d'Alcantara), Best Photography (Ruben Impens), Best Actrice (Agnieszka Grochowski) and Best Feature Film Debut (Vanja d'Alcantara). Award winners will be announced at the closing night of the Ostend Film festival on Saturday, 10 th of September.
